AARAV GEORGE - VOCALIST

The CEO and founder of The Sound of Hope. Started the organization near the end of his freshman year, and is the lead singer of the band. Aarav started singing at about 6 years old, and has never looked back.
From early on, he realized how refreshing, revitalizing, and awe-inspiring music can be and formed The Sound of Hope to share it.
Aarav has performed multiple times at Carnegie Hall and has placed 3 times in the Crescendo International Piano Competition. He has spent three years under the New Jersey Youth Symphony Jazz Program. He also does cultural performances for senior citizens in Livingston, NJ in tandem with Sanskriti of New Jersey.

BRANDEN ZHAO - DRUMS

Branden Zhao is the drummer for The Sound of Hope. He loves the woods and playing volleyball. Branden picked up the drum kit in elementary school and is part of the drumline in the marching band. Branden is also our Director of Outreach & Sponsorship

REESHA SAWANT - GUITAR

I’m a rising sophomore, I play guitar for the band and I’ve been playing for around 3 years. aside from playing the guitar, I play hockey and enjoy reading and discovering new music through listening or cd collecting or just researching about 80’s - 90’s bands or artists.

ETHAN YANG - KEYS

Ethan Yang is the pianist for the Sound of Hope. He enjoys playing volleyball, watching movies, rollerblading, and hanging out with friends. Ethan is the Director of Media for the organization

ANDREW WHITE - GUITAR

Andrew is a sophomore at Livingston High School. He loves music because of how important it allowed him to bond with family and friends. He loves film, comics, and tons more stuff like going to the record store with his dad and jamming with his friends. He listens to all kinds of music genres, like all the metal subgenres to jazz to classic rock to rap!

COREY SKLAR - BASS

Corey is a 16-year-old self-taught bassist and has been playing for over 3 years. With a natural talent and a love for music, Corey plays over 5 instruments. In his free time, he writes and arranges his own music. He enjoys listening to the experimental music from the 60’s and the grunge era of music from the 90’s.
